After North America, Australia is the second most important populating colonisation zone of BRE and UR.

The BRE is colonizing the rich south-east, where as UR which started colonizing later, has settled in the rougher west part.

The dark zones have equivalent metropolitan status, the hachured zones have pioneer populating status.

Note that New Zealand is an BRE exploitation colony and not a populating colony.
