32. Panasian Alphabet
| At the time of the great reform of the Institutions, the Levantin Emperor decided to modify the Japanese writting system. Indeed the Japanese language includes approximately 17 consonants and 5 vowels, but is written with 2 syllabaries (modified ideograms), of 48 signs eachs, and d'ideograms, of which 2000 are ofter used. To quickly increase the alphabetisation level in the Levant Empire, necessary condition to have a large and effective administration. A less complex system had to be adopted. The Republican Alphabet having proven reliable in Europe, the Meiji Emperor undertook the creation of the Panasian alphabet with a sign to sign equality with the RA system, but using signs already present in Asia. The Katakana,
the syllabary used by the men in Japan was reformed: the symbols used
for the lone vowels would be also used in the syllables ( Moreover for the
consonants, for which no simple sign is present in the Katakana, one
would be derived them from Katakana (like Note however that the Meiji Emperor also encouraged the use of 1500 ideograms. But planed to render obsolete the male and female syllabaries (Katakana and Hiragana). For the past 15 years, this combination of a versatile phonetic alphabet (many signs not presented here) and of a restrained and non mandatory list of 1500 ideograms, has diffused in all the territories controled by the Levant Empire: Japanese Islands, The Philippines, Korean Peninsula, Chinese Northern Coast. |
