39. Constantinoples Treaty
| Although this treaty only concerned the British-Russian Empire and the Ottoman Empire, it reflects a hidden negociation between UR and BRE for the parting of the OE. |
Because
the major part of the UR army is fighting on the other side of the earth
againts the LE, it had to let go many elements of this treaty in favor
of the BRE, but was able to obtain a few interesting benifits. |

The
needs of the BRE are purely geostrategical. The fact that attacking
the Euro-Indian corridor reveiled the fragility of the situation encouraged
the BRE to seek an other road to access to its Indian colony. In the
optic of building a chanel between Red and Mediterranean sea, the BRE
has conquered the Near East, although the excuse is the launch of the
Ultimate Crusade to take back holy land. In the same idea the Anatolia
region has been conquered to control the Dardanel Straits. |
Because
these lands are troop consuming, the BRE inderectly asked the UR to
stabilze the regions nearby, especially the Balkans and the Trans Caucasus.
So that these former Ottoman provinces create a neutral buffer zone
near the BRE borders. |
Thanks
to the treaty the BRE only had to send its armies to Anatolia and the
Near East and is now more or less apreciated by the people in the Balkanic
and Trans Caucasic regions. |

Because
the UR sent weapons and material to the Federalist mouvements in the
Balkans and the Trans Caucasus. It seems that the forces that lead to
the creation of the Confederative Balkanic Alliance (composed of the
10 Balkanic states), and of the Trans Caucasic League (composed of Georgia,
Armenia, Azeria and Kurdistan) have extended their control over the
majority of their territory. |
These
two new states are neutral and independant, but have taken exemple on
the UR for many aspects of their state structures. Time will tell if
BRE has lost in the trade. |
Because
of this collaboration with the UR, the BRE had to recognize the creation
of the United Baltic States, which declared independance recently, when
BRE troops left for the corridor and the OE. But this new state will
always stay a part of BRE at least because of its culture. |

The
dark part of the treaty is that it doesn't deal with the chaos bringing
anti-European elements that are present in the majority of the ex-Ottoman
territory. Note that these forces even lead to the creation of a three
headed state : the United Jihadist Emirats (Arabesk, Saoudia and Persia)
and its satelite state the moderate Federated Arabic Republics (Syria,
Jourdania, Mesopotamia and Bassoria). |
