11. Eole Moons
| After 20 years of exploration all over our solar system, our automates bring us a glimpse of hope : On Eole the gas giant between Mars and Jupiter (instead of the asteroid belt in this uchronia), two moons seem to posses atmosphere, gravity, and temperatures similar to Earth and even exotic ecosystems. Notos resembles a sphere of water with a few archipelagos here and there, it's abyssal under water bottoms seem to be immeasurable, and it's polar icecaps resemble continents. Zephyros on the other hand is a dry moon, were sand storms make things not living under ground, fly in the air. It seems that Red Coal was found on Zephyros, the same coal found on Earth in deserts (ours scientists think its origin is Mars percuting meteors). Maybe one day a mining colony will be set on Zephyros if the moon is friendlier than Mars. Although biochemists still search a synthetic way to produce Red Coal on Earth. |
