34. The Limule
The Limule is a non profit organization, with a standard associative statut in UR. Its true name is L.I.M.U.L.E and means : Laic Independant Mixed Universal Lodge for Equality. |

As
the first masson lodges from which the Limule sprang off, the major
goal is to transmit to every citizen humanist values. Using the wisdom
and reflexions on morality and life of each member. |
|
Even
though the Limule has just celebrated its 75 anniversary, it has kept
many initiatic rites intact, their purpose being to help transmit ideas.
Critics often accuse the massons of using religious concepts, that don't
belong to them or that are simply mistifications. In fact the Limule
is only studying the special relation between man and symbolism. |

Whatever the critics may say, many inflent persons from all kind of areas of the society have been part or are part of the Lodge. The Limule is the lodge with the highest number of members in this end of century. All these Limulians have in common a great respect for the human kind, but that doesn't protect them from belonging to different political parties. That is the case of UR President Viktor Ügo-Drue, and the Prime Secretary of State Jül Feri-Ctayn who have radicaly different vues on the future of the UR, but have much respect for one another. |
The
political independance of the Limule is not total, one must note the
it is a republican lodge, which defends the ideal of the UR, in troubled
period, the Limule can make political declarations, but the text must
be validated by at least 90% of the members, therefore the text is usually
the expression of a consensus. |

Note the existance of Limules in countries other than the UR, these lodges participate in the UR limule's politic only if their contry is concerned, but hopefully the ties are also cultural and not only limited to votes and internal administration. The Limule can be a good source of information, help for administrative papers and official investigations. But beware one can have problems if caught using the Limule for personal intrest. Selfishness is not a quality in the eyes of the Limule. |
