26. The Baphomet's Temple
| After nearly a century of "Human and Citizen Rights" in the Universal Republic, our enemy the British-Russian Empire still practices what our humanists call a crime against dignity, and our theologists a blasphemy. Here is an alarming description of the BR society : For the British-Russians the Earth, and all that it contains of animal, plant and mineral, are a gift of their god, called the Baphomet by the initiates, to mankind (the Temple). The Masters of the Temple constitute the head of this body of believers, they thus direct, guiding towards the final goal : union with the Baphomet, after the Apocalypse. Thus any member of the BR society is theoretically a Templar. This human mass is subjected to divine law, such as it is interpreted by the Masters in the Holy Scriptures, which the exact corpus is known of them only. One can distinguishe two great classes in th BR society : the leading class the Masters, and exploited class : the serfs. There is however an intermediate class which has an ecclesiastical role : the Orders, made up of the initiates of lower ranks (Masters being initiates having carried out their Ascension). The Order of the Cross is the striking force of the Temple (only men, they are recognizable by their blood red imperial uniforms, they have military ranks). This Order is the Masters' tool of repression and conquest. The Order of the Hospital is the healing force (only women, they are recognizable by their white nun caps and dresses). This Order is the Masters' tool of public health and of personnal entertainment. The Order of the Clerks is the feather and voice of the Temple (only men, they are recognizable by their black cassocks or city-costumes with their white collars). This Order is the Masters' administrative tool, of bureaucratic emprisonment and propaganda for the servile population, thanks to these notary-pastors. A part from repression and ignorance, the feeling to be on the good side is the chain which maintains the serfs under the tyrannical yoke of the Masters, whereas the Parousia, i.e. the return of Christ on Earth for Judgement Day, seems approaching to them. Thus each pickaxe blow of a minor, each scythe blow of a peasant or each hammer blow of a workman, are guided by the need to gain their seat in the Heavenly Jerusalem soon on Earth, since thanks to God, it is opened to the serfs. Theoredically it is the British-Russian Emperor who is the supreme head of the BR State. In fact he is only the symbol of the union of the secular and ecclesiastic society in one entity : the Temple, named Imperial-Christianism, or Double-cross. This is why his powers are subjected to the Conclave, the circle of the Grand Masters of the Temple, who are the highest initiates among the Masters of the Temple from every province.
The serfs and their descendants are attached to their local Master. The rural serf is rather treated like a slave, whereas the urban serf like an employee, this is directly related to the Master's wealth, thus avoiding to have to many rebellions to crush. In the BRE any child is born serf, until a Master recognizes him, then he becomes a Novice. The serf, do not receive any education, only the religious propaganda teaching during mass and festivals. On the other hand the Novice acquires the basics of Initiation, i.e. reading and the writing of his mother tongue, and in the initiatic Templar language and its Enochian alphabet. During his initiation, which starts with the Clerks, the Novice is sent either to be the Master's Disciple, a Crossknight's Squire, a Clerk's assistant. One year before her majority (thus at 17 years old), every girl follows a formation of at least one year in a Hospitaliar Convent. During this period the Master can exert his cuissage right, dark heritage of the Middle Ages. At the end of this formation the Master decides if the young woman returns to the serf world, to get married, or continues her formation becoming a Hospitaliar's Nunette. In fact the Hospitaliar Nuns constitute in reality the Master's harem, heritage of the decadence of the royal courts of the Renaissance. The loyal Clerks and Crossknights often have, thanks to the Master's goodwill, access to the Hospitaliars, and sometimes the possibility of have a ladyfriend. The others use their repressive or corrupting capacities on the serfs, for these matters. |
